  On our farm, our goal is to help and give people the opportunity to have a healthier and more flavorful choice of pork being served on their table . With our heritage breed Berkshires bred for meat quality along with the nutritional and antioxidant benefits that our pigs have being raised on pasture, we strive to raise the healthiest, happiest, best tasting pork you ever put on your dinner table. Our pigs are rotated on pastures that are planted in clovers and forages for them to graze on in addition to the grain they are fed daily. It is proven that pigs that have access to direct sunlight and forage in their diet tend to have better fat quality containing less saturated fat, being replaced with more heart healthy polyunsaturated fats, higher levels of protein, and 2x more amount of vitamin E compared to commerical grown pork. Our Berkshires are truly antibiotic and hormone free unlike a majority of pork grown and consumed today.

Berkshire pork is known for it's richness, tenderness, and supreme marbling qualities in each cut of meat. The Berkshire is often compared to the "Waygu" of beef with its superior genetics and qualities creating a darker red meat that consists of intramuscular fat unlike a conventionally raised pig. Conventionally raised pigs (grocery store pigs) are bred for lean and fast growing production unlike the Berkshire which is a slow growing heritage breed. The Berkshire differentiates itself by having a higher Ph compared to commodity pork. Ph has a great influence on taste and quality of the meat with the higher Ph pork producing a more tender and flavorful cut of pork. Years ago, the National Pork Board tested different breed lines for their meat and eating quality and Berkshire pork placed first in nineteen of twenty three traits. So with combining our Berkshires with their natural quality meat traits along with our breeding standards and pastures that are planted routinely for diversity in their diet and nutritional benefits, you receive a quality product that you trust and know is humanely raised and respected.

How much freezer space is needed?
A half of hog will fit in a 3-4 cubic feet freezer while a whole hog will fit in a 7 cubic foot approximately.

          CAN I CUSTOMIZE WHAT CUTS I WANT?
YES! WE ALLOW YOU TO CHOOSE YOUR OWN CUTS. YOU WILL HAVE CHOICES LIKE WHAT THICKNESS YOU WANT YOUR CHOPS, SIZE OF HAMS AND ROASTS, AND WHAT TYPE OF SAUSAGE YOU WANT WITH MANY OTHER OPTIONS. 
Can I use my own processor? 
Yes you can use a processor of your choice if they have a appointment available.
Can I customize what cuts I want?
  • Yes! We allow you to choose your own cuts. You will have choices like what thickness you want your chops, size of hams and roasts, and what type of sausage you want with many other options.

Processing costs vary approximately $150

                    Example Whole Hog
 210 lb (Hanging Weight) x 3.00 = $630
Processing costs vary approximately $300

*Processing costs will vary due to the amount of meat smoked, cured, and vaccum sealed. Total weight of meat also varies depending on the amount of boneless/bone In cuts you choose.

Let's get some meat in the freezer!

Once the deposit is made we will provide you with a cut sheet where you can look over and see what cuts of meat will best suit your families meals. We will be glad to go over the cut sheet with you as the processor will also talk with you finalizing your cut sheet.  On processing day, we will transport your hog to a USDA processor, pick your meat up when it's finished, then will arrange delivery with your meat within 30 miles at no additional expense. The final balance will be determined whenever we receive the hanging weight from the processor. Payments can be arranged for whole hog orders.
